The Portuguese cuisine is rich in specialties. Especially fish and meat dishes are often prepared in a special way and very tasty. The various spices and ingredients from former colonies, but also the influence of neighbouring countries and of the visitors, flow into the local cuisine.

Appetiser

In Portugal it is common to serve a small appetiser plate. There is usually fresh bread and olives. In the picture, carrots steamed in garlic (cold), butter and fish paté were also served. Cheese or a bowl of tuna spread may also be served.

The starters are intended for everyone at the table and are charged per person. If you do not want this, please say “sem entradas, faz favor” when ordering.
