Galé is a modern holiday resort situated about 5 km west of Albufeira.

The access is via the N125 or the A22 (exit Albufeira) and then driving direction Portimão. At the roundabout in Guia please follow the signposting. Alternatively, one can use the M526 starting from Albufeira or Armação de Pêra which runs through the locality.
In Galé one lives quieter and more relaxed than in Albufeira. There are many hotels as well as town houses and villas which can be rented for holiday. Restaurants, cafés, snackbars, bistros, etc. exist in a large number.
From Albufeira to the old town it is only a few minutes by car.
Mainly calm residential districts shape the image of the place.
