Here you find the beaches starting from Galé up to the harbor entrance in Vilamoura. It is a great mixture between flat and gradually descending sand strips up to small bays being edged by picturesque cliffs. Missing beaches can only be reached in a limited way, however, will be handed in later. The size of the beaches depends on the tides.  


Praia dos Salgados

You reach the beach via the M526 (Armação de Pêra – Albufeira), where the beach is already well signposted. Sufficient parking places are at disposal. There are a restaurant and sanitary facilities. In the season people swimming and bathing are supervised by lifeguards.


Praia da Galé Oeste

Galé is situated between Armação de Pêra and Albufeira south of the M526. Resort (from the N125 on in Guia) and beach are well signposted. A very big, but unorganised parking area is at 200 m distance from the beach. There are a restaurant as well as sanitary facilities. Lifeguards are on site during the season. 

The beach disposes of an access for people with disabilities.


Praia da Galé Leste

Galé is located between Armação de Pêra and Albufeira south of the M526. Resort (from the N125 on in Guia) and beach are well signposted. You will find an organised parking area 100 m in front of the beach and some parking facilities near the beach. There are sanitary facilities and a restaurant. Lifeguards are on site during the season. 

The beach disposes of an access for people with disabilities. Parking spaces for the disabled exist.


Praia do Manuel Lourenço

Coming from the N125 in Guia (driving direction Galé) the beach is already signposted. Roughly 100 m in front of the beach is a parking area. The beach can be reached via a wooden stairway or a wooden platform. There are sanitary facilities and a restaurant. During the season people swimming and bathing are supervised by lifeguards.

The beach disposes of an access for people with disabilities. 


Praia do Evaristo

Coming from the N125 in Guia (driving direction Galé) the beach in Galé is well signposted. An unorganised parking area, a restaurant as well as sanitary facilities exist. During the season are lifeguards on site. 


Praia do Castelo

On the road between Guia and Galé (from the N125 on) the beach is well signposted. A parking area is at 600 m distance from there. There are sanitary facilities and a restaurant. Bathing and swimming is supervised by lifeguards.


Praia da Coelha

On the road between Guia and Galé (from the N125 on) the beach is well signposted. As soon as you have left the main street, the signposts are partly covered by bushes and shrubs. There are an unorganised parking area, a restaurant and sanitary facilities. Lifeguards are on site.


Praia de São Rafael

The beach is well signposted on the main street between Albufeira (coming from the marina) and Galé. There are a very big and organised parking area, a restaurant as well as sanitary facilities. People swimming and bathing are supervised during the season. 


Praia dos Arrifes

Beach situated east of São Rafael, which is signposted only directly on the street going to an unpaved parking area. A restaurant exists as well as sanitary facilities. 

Lifeguards are on site.


Praia do Túnel (Peneco)
Albufeira

Western part of the beach located in front of Albufeira. Here life is always busy and you can enjoy the countless opportunities of the old town of Albufeira. 

Lifeguards supervise the swimming and bathing activities. 


Praia dos Pescadores
Albufeira

The fishermen’s beach of Albufeira is situated between the promenade / old town and the Atlantic. Here you find a broad and varied range of restaurants, bistros, snackbars, cafés, etc. From there it is only a few meters to the nightlife in town.

On the beach you find artists forming sculptures from sand. There are also numerous holiday and leisure opportunities. 

Lifeguards are on site. 

There is an access for people with disabilities as well as corresponding parking spaces.


Praia do Inatel

East of the old town of Albufeira located beach, which can be reached walking from there. There are diverse restaurants and sanitary facilities. 

Lifeguards are on site.


Praia dos Alemães

This beach is signposted from the main street crossing Albufeira from west to east (please follow the signposts Forte de São João). From the old town (roughly 600 m) in Albufeira you reach the beach via the Praia do Inatel. There are shops, a parking area, diverse restaurants, cafés as well as sanitary facilities. During the season are lifeguards on site. 


Praia dos Aveiros

From the main street in Albufeira follow the signposting Areias de São João. 200 m in front of the beach is a big and organised parking area. A very small parking place is situated directly in front of the foot path to the beach (please use only the few designated parking spaces).

There are sanitary facilities and a restaurant. Lifeguards supervise people swimming and bathing during the season. 


Praia da Oura
Nascente & Poente

The beach lies at the eastern edge of Albufeira and is signposted in the holiday resort Oura. There are diverse restaurants, shops, cafés as well as sanitary facilities.  

 Lifeguards are on site during the season.


Praia de Santa Eulália

This beach is signposted on the main street (M1287) between Albufeira and Olhos d´ Água. A very large and organised parking area is at your disposal. There are diverse restaurants, cafés, snackbars and sanitary facilities. 

Depending on the season lifeguards are on site. 


Praia da Balaia

This beach is located east of the Praia de Santa Eulàlia. Access, parking facilities and infrastructure are equal for both beaches.


Praia da Maria Luísa

On the main street from Albufeira to Olhos d´ Água (M1287) you can find signposts for this beach. The access to the very small parking area is free for abutters. There are sanitary facilities and a restaurant and during the season lifeguards are on the spot. 

The beach has an access for people with disabilities.


Praia dos Olhos d´ Água

The beach is well signposted already from the N125 and a small parking area is in front of the beach. 

Tip: Shortly before the beach (roughly 60 m) you will find on the right side a big and cheap car park.

Diverse restaurants, snackbars, bistros, cafés, shops and sanitary facilities are at your disposal. 

Lifeguards supervise people bathing and swimming during the season. 


Praia do Barranco das Belharucas

Coming from Olhos d´ Água the Pine Cliffs Hotel is signposted. Then, shortly before the resort, the beach is signposted.  

Tip: The parking area that belongs to the beach has a narrow, unpaved access, is unorganised and nearly always overcrowded. Park your car in the surrounding hotel and apartment resorts and take the stairway behind the Luna Mar Hotel down to the beach.  

A restaurant and sanitary facilities are at your disposal.

Lifeguards are on site.


Praia da Falésia

From the N125 on this beach is well signposted for there are several five star hotels and holiday resorts on the cliffs. Diverse parking facilities and accesses via wooden stairways exist. Restaurants, snackbars as well as sanitary facilities are available. 

Lifeguards supervise the beach.


Praia da Rocha Baixinha Poente

From the Praia da Falésia further beaches toward east are signposted. After a few hundred meters the road becomes notably worse and consists of loose gravel and many diagonal grooves as well as partly deep potholes. In front of the beach is a big parking area, a restaurant and sanitary facilities. A further parking area is available at roughly 1 km more eastern. There are a kitesurf school and an aquatic sports center.

Praia da Rocha Baixinha Nascente

This is the last beach before the port entrance of Vilamoura. The best access is via Vilamoura where signposts exist. A very big and organised parking area (partly for a fee) is available roughly 200 m northern, from where a wooden bridge and gangplanks go to the beach. There are diverse restaurants, a beach club as well as sanitary facilities. 

Depending on the season you can find a surf school and lifeguards on the spot.
