The marina of Faro has 500 berths. The draught is 2.5 meters at high tide. The railway bridge is at high tide 2 meters above the water level.

The low height of the railway bridge prevents the arrival of large yachts and sailers.
The marina is just south of the pedestrian area, near (about 100 meters) the train and bus station as well as the ferry pier (about 50 meters) to the offshore islands.
