There are beaches to both the Atlantic and the lagoon, where especially children are well protected from the surf.

Access is via a single-lane bridge; traffic is controlled with traffic lights. Waiting times can be expected during the high season.

The main car park is located directly at the island’s access bridge. More parking spaces are on the right and left side of the streets.

Until the 1980s, it was often built here without a permit. The development changes from the modern villa to the wooden hut, which is built directly on sand in the dunes.

To the west you will find a continuous beach to the district of Loulé and Quinta do Lago.

A wooden walkway is situated to the east above the dunes, to almost the eastern tip of the peninsula.
