Conceição is a village and a former community (about 1,450 inhabitants) in the county of Tavira. In 2013 it has been blended together with Cabanas de Tavira into the União das Freguesias de Conceição e Cabanas de Tavira.

The place lies roughly 4 km east of Tavira directly by the N125.
Behind the typical townhouses are modern apartment resorts.
In the locality are shops, the post office and various gastronomic establishments.
A train station of the Linho do Algarve going from Vila Real de Santo Antonio via Tunes up to Lagos is situated in the locality.
The railway building is shut up. You can buy tickets from the ticket machine.
Igreja da Conceição
The Igreja da Conceição was built in the 16th century by the order of Santiago and through the contributions of the population.

The church can be visited during the mass.
