Tôr was a community (about 880 inhabitants) in the county of Loulé. Together with Benafim it forms, since the reform of 2012, the community Tôr e Benafim.

Coordinates: 37° 12′ N, 8° 2′ W

The small town is located by the M524, about 10 km north of Loulé, and it can be reached from there via the M525.

Tôr is situated at the southern edge of the Serra de Caldeirão. In the environs are many agricultural areas as well as almost pristine forests.

Small alleys shape the image of the place. Life is tranquil here, and one will notice nothing of the activities of the holiday resorts.

Ponte romana de Tôr

The Ponta Romana runs over a small river, which in summer contains nearly no water. In spite of its name, the bridge was built much later than at Roman times.

On the country lane before (western) the access to the bridge are many parking facilities. You can start nice walks from here.

Igreja Matriz de Tôr

The Igreja Matriz de Tôr can only be visited at the time of a mass.
