The beaches of the county of Vila Real de Santa Antonio. The three beaches of the county of Castro Marim lie between the beaches Praia da Lota and Praia de Monte Gordo.


Praia do Sítio da Fábrica
(Cacela Velha Península)

The small place and the same-named beach are well signposted on the N125. You find a small, well organised parking area. From here you will be carried to the peninsula by boat. 

Here it is always very calm. The complete infrastructure with restaurants, cafés and snackbars is on the mainland. 

No lifeguards are on the spot. 


Praia de Cacela Velha
(Cacela Velha Península)

The locality Sítio da Fábrica is well signposted on the N125. You find a small, well organised parking area. From there you will be carried to the peninsula by boat. 

Here it is always very calm. The complete infrastructure with restaurants, cafés and snackbars is on the mainland.

No lifeguards are on site. 


Praia da Manta Rota

Place and beach are well signposted on the N125. There is an organised and big parking area east of the access to the beach. On the beach and in the near locality are a wide range of restaurants, snackbars, bistros, cafés, shops as well as sanitary facilities. People swimming and bathing are supervised by lifeguards. 

The beach has an access for people with disabilities and corresponding parking places very close by.


Praia da Lota

The beach is located at the eastern end from Manta Rota and is signposted in the locality. Parking places are at disposal. Here it is quite calm and life is tranquil. There are sanitary facilities and a restaurant. In the season are lifeguards on the spot.  

The beach has an access for people with disabilities. 


Praia de Monte Gordo

Locality and beach are well signposted and can be seen from far owing to the big hotels. There are diverse parking facilities and various restaurants, cafés, snackbars, bistros, shops, etc. Lifeguards are on the spot.

The beach has an access for people with disabilities. 


Praia de Santo António

This is the “last” beach before the Rio Guadiana representing the border with Spain. The beach is signposted in Santo António, and parking places are at disposal. One finds a restaurant and sanitary facilities. Lifeguards supervise people swimming and bathing in the season.
