La premi\u00e8re pierre de l’\u00e9glise a \u00e9t\u00e9 pos\u00e9e le 4 juin 1698. Les co\u00fbts de construction ont \u00e9t\u00e9 assum\u00e9s exclusivement par les p\u00eacheurs et les marins. Apr\u00e8s les d\u00e9g\u00e2ts caus\u00e9s par le tremblement de terre de 1755, l’\u00e9glise a \u00e9t\u00e9 reconstruite.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00c0 l’arri\u00e8re de l’\u00e9glise se trouve la chapelle de Capela Nossa Senhora dos Aflitos. \u00c0 travers une porte en treillis, vous pouvez regarder \u00e0 l’int\u00e9rieur. Les bougies y br\u00fblent constamment et les offrandes votives sont expos\u00e9es. Les femmes des p\u00eacheurs y prient encore aujourd’hui quand ceux-ci p\u00eachent.<\/span><\/p>\n

L’int\u00e9rieur de l’\u00e9glise est splendide, mais un peu sombre. Le clocher, avec une vue magnifique vue sur la ville, peut \u00eatre grimp\u00e9 pour 1 \u20ac.<\/span><\/p>\n

L’\u00e9glise peut \u00eatre visit\u00e9e du mardi au samedi de 10h \u00e0 13h et de 15h \u00e0 17h. L’entr\u00e9e est gratuite.<\/span><\/p>\n
