Dans la petite ville se trouvent de grandes parkings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"wnd_TextBlock_54812_inner_3\" data-wnd_is_separable=\"1\" data-wnd_separable_index=\"3\" data-wnd_separable_id=\"wnd_TextBlock_54812\"><span class=\"wsw-01\" style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">D\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9poque pr\u00e9historique, il y avait un peuplement ici. \u00c0 l&#8217;\u00e9poque de la domination romaine, l&#8217;endroit s&#8217;appelait Aesuri et \u00e9tait le point final de la voie romaine qui partait de Beja (dans l&#8217;actuel Alentejo). \u00c0 partir de 711, sous le r\u00e9gime maure, la fortification de la localit\u00e9 se d\u00e9veloppa en un ch\u00e2teau fort. Apr\u00e8s des conqu\u00eates alternantes, les Maures furent finalement vaincus et expuls\u00e9s en 1242.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"wnd_TextBlock_54812_inner_4\" data-wnd_is_separable=\"1\" data-wnd_separable_index=\"4\" data-wnd_separable_id=\"wnd_TextBlock_54812\"><span class=\"wsw-01\" style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">L&#8217;Ordre du Christ (organisation qui succ\u00e9da \u00e0 l&#8217;Ordre Interdit des Templiers) y si\u00e9gea de 1319 \u00e0 1356. Apr\u00e8s leur d\u00e9part, l&#8217;endroit perdit tout son ampleur pendant des si\u00e8cles. Adapt\u00e9 et int\u00e9gr\u00e9 au ch\u00e2teau fort existant et aux remparts de la ville de Castro Marim, l&#8217;endroit \u00e9tait la base militaire la plus importante de l&#8217;Algarve.
