Near the pedestrian zone the town consists mainly of very narrow and winding alleys (one-way streets). The best option to park your car is north of the main street, the N269-1, which crosses the town. There are sufficient parking places, and immediately by the road is a big and cheap car park. From there it is roughly a 150 m walk to the market.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe market offers a good range of food like sausages and cheese from the region and from the Alentejo, freshly caught fish, fruit and vegetable, honey, dried fruit and nuts, meat, bread and pastries.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nFresh fish and seafood. The vendors will be pleased to prepare the animals for you so that they are ready to cook.<\/span><\/p>\n

The range of fruit and vegetable depends on the season but is always manifold. The products originate from the region and are fresh and crunchy.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nOn Saturdays there is a farmer’s market around the actual market with further vendors and products. Fresh figs, raspberries and blackberries – directly from the grower.<\/span><\/p>\n
