The climate in the Algarve is singular in Europe. The sun shines on more than 300 days a year and thus you have considerably more than 3,000 sun hours. There is no winter. When snow and frost controls wide parts of the northern hemisphere, here one can watch people sitting in the sun or playing golf. Even on Christmas, or around the turn of the year, temperatures of more than 20 degrees are not seldom.
