How to get there by plane:<\/b>
\nPossible destinations for the arrival by plane are the airports Faro, Lisbon (around 270 km from Faro) and Jerez de la Frontera in Spain (around 280 km from Faro). The journey via Porto (Northportugal) is less recomendable: You have to calculate 6 to 7 hours driving time for the approximately 560 km distance to the Algarve.<\/span><\/p>\n

How to get there by car:\u00a0<\/b>
\nBasically, there are two routes through France and Spain.
\nRoute 1: Paris – Tours – Bordeaux – San Sebastian – Burgos – Salamanca – Badajoz – Beja – Algarve.
\nRoute 2: Lyon – Orange – Perpignan – Barcelona – Valencia – Murcia – Sevilla – Huelva – Algarve.
\nWhich one is the best track for you, this depends on your starting point. On both routes you are charged with high tolls.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alternatively, there are toll-free routes that run partly on motorways and partly on country roads and through towns.
\n<\/span>Route 1: Luxembourg – Metz – Nancy – Saint Dizier – Troyes – Auxerre – Vierzon – Ch\u00e2teauroux – Angoul\u00eame – Bordeaux – San Sebasti\u00e1n – Burgos – Salamanca – Badajoz – Beja – Algarve.

\nIn many European cities regular trips by long-distance busses to Lisbon are offered. You can take a bus from there\u00a0<\/span>to go\u00a0to several towns at the Algarve.
