Fuseta is a small town and a former community (about 1,920 inhabitants) in the county of Olh\u00e3o. In 2013 it has been blended together with Moncarapacho into the community of Uni\u00e3o das Freguesias de Moncarapacho e Fuseta.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span><\/p>\n

The small town is situated by the N125, directly on the Atlantic coast. In the town area and at the harbour are many parking facilities<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Fuseta (formerly Fuzeta) was already mentioned in a document in 1572. The offshore island and the mouth of the river provided natural conditions for a secure harbour.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You can take a boat from the harbour and cross over to the Ilha da Armona. There you find several beaches. Igreja Matriz da Fuseta<\/span><\/h3>\n

The Igreja Matriz da Fuseta was built in the year 1835 upon the ruins of a church that had been erected in 1698 and was completely destroyed by the earthquake of 1755.<\/span><\/p>\n
